Lobster OVERLOAD!

I made the lofty goal of being able to finish these awesome towels for my friend Sarah Hull early so I could hand-deliver them to her in person.  3 weeks to complete 100 towels! PHEW!  Being an ambitious newby to all this sewing and embroidery stuff, I offered my services to Sarah to make these lobster towels for her wedding in Bar Harbor, Maine.  Needless to say, my embroidery machine needs a vaca after running non-stop for 3 weeks to finish these towels.   I'm so sad that I can't be at Sarah's wedding, but I will be represented well by my many lobster towels!  I'm so glad that I tackled this order because it was such a great learning experience for me on time management when it comes to projects like this.

Congrats to Sarah and Brian! I know the wedding will be absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to see pictures!

Summer HEAT...

It is TOO HOT outside, that's why I do not mind staying inside and being a busy girl on the sewing machine!! Look at these cute 4th of July dresses for Samantha Rose and Annie Darling Ludlam.  They will be the cutest girls around!

Here is a cute little summer dress for Laney Elizabeth Chesnutt who could arrive anytime. Thoughts go out to Allison and Laney for a healthy and easy delivery!

Pinafore and Shorts!

I'm so excited about these two new patterns.  The pinafore is reversible and can be a dress or a top with shorts or bloomers underneath.  I adjusted the scalloped edges that the pattern included.

The shorts below can be bloomers or shorts for girls. There is also a boy version for shorts as well!

Diaper bag for Allie.  The inside is a lime green, cream and gray design.  LOVE LOVE!  Harrison Fahey wins the award for "Biggest MadyByMollyT Fan!"  He is decked out with a quilt, romper and a Diaper Bag.

Mason's Monogramming Madness!

Baby Mason will be here before we know it.  Melissa picked out some of the cutest little outfits and  I loved monogramming these sweet things for my new nephew!

Graduation Gifts...

I did these two towels for a friend to give as Graduation Gifts.  The oversized towels are awesome and I love the oversized monograms to go with!

Abby's Order...

Abby placed an order for several friends who have already had babies and who are expecting.

These onesies are gender neutral for folks who don't know what they are having.

Abby's Suprise Baby Shower!

Our Bible Study Class suprised Abby with a shower on Tuesday night.  We kept a good secret!

We had to keep this one gender neutral since Abby isn't finding out if it's a girl our a boy. I love the black and white swirl on the inside!

Harrison William Fahey - Mother's Day Christening!

We were honored to be able to stand up with the Fahey and Minner families on Sunday!  Harrison was so well behaved and adorable!

We had an awesome brunch at the Minner's house afterwards, where Harry wore his little romper that I made him! So cute!

Little Rompers...

Made these 2 little rompers for Baby Mason to give to Melissa for her shower on Saturday.  The blue one is 0-3 months and the brown one is 6 months.  The snaps were WAY less scarey than I thought they would be!  Can't wait for baby Mason to get here in June!

While in ALL DAY meetings yesterday (blah), I got this adorable picture from Mary Emmett saying "Thank you Aunt Molly!"

Burp Cloths...

Made these little burp cloths for baby Whit Prouty.  I love jazzing up simple little things like burp cloths.

Tottie's "Tote"

Of course, I wanted to make a cute little bag for my cute Grandmother, Tottie!  After all, she is the one who taught me how to sew, even though she will deny it!

This is a smaller version of the Sunday Sling by Amy Butler.  I think it is the perfect "Tottie size."

Old School...

Back in the day, I loved to crochet these huge throws for my friends wedding gifts.  They are done with a Q-hook which is a very large crochet hook. They were so fun and suprisingly easy to make while I sat in front of the TV.  Unfortunately, not many projects allow you to multitask like that!

The first few are "wedding" blankets. The pink one at the bottom was made for Mary Callaway Brezina out of the softest yarn ever!

Harrison's Quilt...

Harrison William Fahey was the lucky recipient of my first attempt at a baby quilt! 

It turned out WAY better than I thought it would. I bought a "charm pack" which are the colored 5x5 inch squares already cut.  Then I added both the cream and brown border and the back is solid brown as well.

I used a hand quilted technique using a "darning needle" on my machine. The heart shapes were traced on using a template.  It was definitly a learning experience, but I look forward to making more now that I know what I'm doing!

Better late than never, to add a little BLING to Harrison's quilt!

 



Diaper Bag Demo...

Snowpocalypse 2k11 was a great excuse to finish up my first diaper bag!

I love Amy Butler and this is her Reversible Sunday Sling pattern in the large size. It turned out really great with the "Duck" fabric I used. This fabric is canvas-like and really helps this bag to hold it's shape.  The big interior pockets are great!

I also made a little zippered bag to go with. The inside is lined with clear vinyl so it can be used for dirty diapers or bottles.  More accessories to come...
